January at Marlowe

We learned all about the Arctic and Antarctic this month!
We made snowman, penguin, and polar bear crafts, and we learned how to cut snowflakes.
Even though paper snowflakes are beautiful on their own, we decide to make them even more spectacular by covering them with salt crystals. We made a salt solution and dipped the snowflakes in it. Once the paper dried and the water evaporated, salt crystals were left behind!
We also started growing edible mushrooms in the classroom earlier this week.
We can't wait to see them sprout!
We're looking forward to another fun month!
