Along with copying masters, the children tried their hand at art forms such as paper weaving, sculpting, cutting, and more!
The children also enjoyed using materials that involve color matching and grading as well dimension and shape.
Pirate camp followed and was filled with some swashbuckling fun. The children loved using the maps (to help them chart their course to treasure). They labeled them, drew them, and fit them together as puzzles.
They learned to identify landmarks and fauna (to help them recognize their location, should they find themselves shipwrecked on foreign soil).
They sorted seashells and learned to carefully walk the plank.
They decorated a pirate ship, bedazzled their own treasure chest and cutlass, and they searched for and found treasure.
What a fun week for our little buccaneers! Next up, science camp. :)
