Fancy Stones and Dinosaur Bones

Last week, we learned all about prehistoric animals and the ancient world!!
We dug out dinosaur bones and reassembled them into a Tyrannosaurus Rex.
We examined real fossils,
created and set off a volcano,
did the Dino Hop
and danced to Monster Teaching Time.
We discovered how casts were made,
broke our own geodes,

identified numerous prehistoric creatures,
created a geologic time scale,
and we made numerous projects and engaged in countless dino-themed activities.
So fun!! We can't wait for you to join us this week Down on the Marlowe Farm!

Under The Sea

Our second week of camp featured the world under the sea. We made lots of fun art projects!
Cheerio Octopus
Ocean Layers
Popsicle Stick Fish
Our most complicated creation by far was our marbled seahorse. First, we filled a tub with shaving cream.
We then squirted paint all over the place.
We made a paint print on a sheet of card stock,
and we used a squeegee to remove the excess shaving cream.
We then cut out a seahorse and added yarn, an eyeball, and a fin.
We learned about landforms,
created a world map and labeled the continents and oceans,
we matched and labeled North American fish,
we labeled fish parts,
and, we went on a scavenger hunt and found hidden gold all around the classroom.
We also had lots of free time to explore the classroom.

So much fun!! See you next week
