December at Marlowe

We had so much fun this month learning about how people celebrate different holidays around the world. We enjoyed making lots of winter crafts, and Ms. Roopal helped our class make a beautiful Rangoli design out of sand, rice and glitter.
The children also helped make the set for our holiday concert. All of the artwork and paper chains were made by the children. If you didn't have a chance to watch their shows, they did a fantastic job!
(Several of our friends were unable to attend the concert, but we were lucky enough to include them with footage from our dress rehearsal.)
Between all the holiday fun and preparations, we were able to spend lots of time reading, writing, and working on materials.

We hope you all had a fantastic break, and we look forward to seeing you in the new year!

November at Marlowe

The experiments we started after fall break underwent a huge change after our four day weekend earlier this month. The children returned to school on November 4th to see following plants sunning themselves at our front window.

Later in the week, we were visited by our favorite local petting zoo.

The children made several fun fall crafts, learned about the first Thanksgiving, and kept themselves busy using the materials in the classroom.

We have several special events coming up before the new year. I can't wait to share them with you!!

October at Marlowe

We had lots of fun this month learning about plants. We dissected a pumpkin, grew grass and pumpkin seeds, turned celery blue and red, and attempted to regrow celery from the stem!
We made several spooky crafts and danced to Halloween tunes.

We also had fun getting lots of lessons and using all of our materials.
Parent-teacher conferences are this week. I can't wait to brag about your children!
