April at Marlowe

They say April showers bring May flowers. We certainly found this adage to be true this year.
Wet weather moved our annual egg hunt inside, but that didn't stop our fun!
The children loved gathering hidden eggs in our playroom. The older children were given glow sticks and searched for eggs in half-light. We then turned on the remaining lights, and the younger children retrieved the rest of the eggs as the older students played "Feed the Bunny".
This month, we celebrated spring and learned all about the planets in our solar system.
We also learned about acids and bases using cabbage powder, baking soda, and citric acid.
Our Secret Chef helped us all make delicious banana penguins.
We also loved having two very special show-and-tells. One of our friends brought a poster about her trip to London and Israel, and another brought us a flag from her trip to Iceland over Spring Break!
Afternoon at Marlowe is coming up in a few weeks.
The children can't wait to show off their favorite lessons!
Three weeks of school left! We have a puppet show, Mommy and Me, field day, piano recital, ballet recital, tie-dye week, and dress-up-days all coming up. Brace yourself for some serious fun! :)
