September at Marlowe

Our unit this month was all about the human body. We made several projects, and we read many books on the subject.

We also read childhood classics such as Where the Wild Things Are, We're Going on a Bear Hunt, Goodnight Moon, Harold and the Purple Crayon, Caps for Sale, The Day the Crayons Quit, The Sleeping House, and lots of Jamie Lee Curtis and Eric Carl.

We also enjoyed our first Secret Chef of the season.
One of my favorite parts of September is watching how quickly our newest children adapt to being away from home for the first time. More and more, the teachers are able to fade into the background, and the children are able to work independently.

We loved seeing you all at this past month's play date at the botanical gardens. The visit was a perfect introduction to this month's theme, learning about the plants around us.

I would also like to give a special thanks to the families who brought us flowers this month! They have really brightened up our classroom, and the children have loved taking care of them.
