This month, we have had two very special visiting teachers -- Ms. Marlowe and Ms. Mary.

February Fun

The past two weeks have been packed with excitement!
Uncle David, a South African Boerboel puppy, came for a visit.
A bear claw was brought in for show-and-tell.
We learned how to make icing and decorated some delicious cupcakes.
We were visited by TWO very special readers.
We made a few crafts...
and spent a rainy-day-recess playing tic-tac-toe (with hearts and stars).
We ended our week by handing out Valentines.

The Arctic & Antarctic

We have been learning all about the arctic and antarctic this month. So far, we have made penguins out of our footprints and the aurora borealis (Northern Lights) out of tissue-paper.
We have been so busy learning,...
...but we are never too busy to squeeze in some fun with rhythm sticks between our reading and math.

We also made several fun art projects!
Daddies (and other special people) came for a morning visit.

And, we finished the month with Pajama Day -- complete with a story-time surprise.

Puppets and Pilgrims

What a great month! We learned all about pilgrims and the first Thanksgiving.
We made several hand puppets -- first, we made a turkey...
...and then, Johnny Appleseed.

We also made a giant pot of Stone Soup.
Well seasoned and delicious. Yum!
