Summer Fun! (Part 2)

July was bursting with learning, laughter, and a monstrous amount of fun! We kicked off the month with Safari and Dinosaur Camp. The children learned all about exotic animals and prehistoric creatures. We went on safari, dug for “fossils,” and even explored how crystals and fossils are formed! The children were fascinated by the differences and similarities between the creatures of today and those from millions of years ago.

For the final week of camp, we dove into the magical, mythical, and historical realms of Princesses and Superheroes. The children decorated sparkling wands, royal crowns, sleek capes, and superhero masks. They created their own comics and fairytales, learned about castles and knights, and we even touched on Greek mythology!

Our superhero training included daily workout sessions that left us all breathless, strong, and ready to face any challenge! We used our shields to deflect incoming threats and launched epic water balloon and beanbag battles to protect our fellow citizens.

Between roaring like lions, stomping like dinosaurs, and saving the world, everyone had a blast exploring the classroom.

Have a wonderful break, and I look forward to seeing you all in a few weeks!

Summer Fun! (Part 1)

We kicked off our summer camp with a swashbuckling start at Pirate Camp! The little pirates began the week by decorating their own swords and hats and then spent their days building sound forts, walking the plank, tossing cannonballs, making treasure maps, and exploring the classroom. We learned to recognize landforms as well as flags, animals, and landmarks from countries around the world, and we wrapped up the week with a scavenger hunt!

The next two weeks were filled with endless arts, crafts, and learning!
During Art Week, the children worked with a variety of mediums to create some truly amazing projects.
Campout Week was just as exciting! The children made their own camping supply lists, enjoyed make-believe campouts, and learned about constellations, botany, and entomology. We ended the week on a sweet note with DIY s’mores!
All month long, our little campers kept themselves busy learning, growing, and building confidence, independence, and friendships.

Have a lovely Fourth of July, and we look forward to seeing you all soon!
